“be”yi ya da “yardımcı fiili” özneden önce kullanarak yapılan soru cümlelerine yes-no question denir. Yani karşılığında “evet-hayır” diye cevap verebildiğimiz soru cümleleridir ve bu tip soru cümlelerine kısa cevaplar verebiliriz.


Example:
Am I a student?
Yes, you are.........(Yes, you are a student)

Is he a student?
Yes, he is.

Are you a student?
Yes, I am.

Are they clever?
Yes, they are.

Do you speak english?
Yes, I do.

Does he like playing football?
No he doesn’t.
